Dear Father God and Lord Jesus, Through your abundant grace and mercy, please grant John Fitz spiritual, mental, and emotional strength to sustain a sober life. May he reach out to help those who are struggling with non-sober lives. I also pray that John will open his heart and let you in, Lord Jesus, so that he can be saved. Once he's saved, he will no longer have an "obsession for sin." To be saved or born again, John needs to have faith in you, Lord Jesus, believe in the gospel, and it is through your blood on the cross, and God's grace and your grace that he can be saved. Let him ask you, directly, Lord Jesus to save him, after he admits that he's a sinner and needs you as his Lord and Savior. After he's been saved and he's willing to repent, the Holy Spirit will indwell in him. Gradually, he'll become a new creation in Christ. The Holy Spirit will help to transform his mind, and he'll sin less and less because he'll want to please you and Father God.
