Oh, the joys of those who trust the Lord Psalm 40:1-4 Dear Friends, My daughter, Stacey, called today and shared with me how difficult it is to believe that the promises of God are real. I understand. We all feel that way at times. It is easy to lose hope. I had her read Psalm 40:1-4 because David, called ‘a man after God’s own heart,’ struggled with this in his life. No matter what problems you have or ever will have, they will never be greater than God. No matter how dark the pit, it will never be able to extinguish His light. With God, you are never without hope! God wants you to know that He hears your cries for help and He will directly take care of whatever it is you are facing. The same God who was with David is also with you. No matter how stormy life is, God will make sure you walk on solid ground. He will lift you out of any despair. He will put a new song in your heart! He will use your trust in Him to encourage others. He will honor your faith. He will give you a joy beyond anything you can imagine!
