Heavenly Father, I come before You on behalf of Charmin’s best friend and future husband, who has already endured so much through his battle with stage 4 lymphoma and a stem cell transplant. Thank You for bringing him through those difficult years and blessing him with three years of recovery. Please place Your healing hand upon him once again and protect him from any return of this cancer. Father, I pray that the enlarged lymph node in his abdomen is simply a reaction to his recent infection and not a sign of cancer. Please allow the lymph node to shrink completely and return to normal. As he prepares for his PET scan at MD Anderson, please guide his doctors with wisdom and understanding. I ask You for clear, encouraging results showing no evidence of cancer and for continued healing and good health. Lord, please be especially close to Charmin as she struggles with fear and uncertainty. When she cannot find the words to pray, remind her that You know her heart and hear even her unspoken prayers. Calm her anxious thoughts, strengthen her faith, and replace her fears with Your peace. Please protect the future she and the man she loves are looking forward to sharing, and bless them with many healthy and joyful years together. Thank You Father, for who You are—loving, kind, faithful, merciful and gracious. To You be all praise, glory, and honor. In the precious name of Jesus, I pray, Amen.
