Look up the GAPS diet. I have heard this can help people like Josh. I don't know if this is true, but I think some people with ulcerative colitis have claimed that the GAPS diet actually cured them. Some people think it is too difficult to do, however. If you fall in that category, have you tried any of the following? Ayurveda. Traditional Chinese medicine. Naturopathy. Integrative medicine. These four branches of health sure helped me. Some medical doctors (M.D.s) practice integrative medicine. You can find one on IFM.org. Maybe some of these people could offer Josh options in addition to taking drug. I'm not saying don't take the drugs. I know that they work. But there might be other things that can actually get to the root of the issue and improve Josh's health overall.
