Dear Father God, please draw jim296 and his entire family close to you and comfort them with Your love. The Bible says, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” (Psalm 34:18). I ask that you would bring them comfort and peace in the midst of this life-shaking event. Thank you for your promise to walk with and even carry them as they travel through the stages of grief. Let them not be overcome with sadness, but to be strengthened by Your presence. Please give them wisdom to make decisions and to handle any issues that arise as arrangement are made and events take place. May the God of hope fill them with all joy and peace as they trust in Him, so that they may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit (Romans 15:13).
