Dear Heavenly Father, I pray along with JWLuvene that all of us who consider ourselves Christians will care for Your sheep. Help us to share openly and freely the gifts You have given us. Help us to behave radically different than the world around us in how we view poverty and homelessness and help us to go out of our way to do all that we can each do to help another in need. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen "If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, 'Go in peace, be warmed and filled,' without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that?" (James 2:15-16)
Dear God, on the mountains I will bow my life and the homeless lives of the world to the One who set us there. In the valley I will lift my eyes to the One who sees us there. When we're standing on the mountain I know we didn't get there on our own. When we're walking through the valley I know we are not alone! You're the God of the Hills and Valleys. And we are not alone! By intentionally looking in both life’s hills and valleys we can seek God and become more aware of His presence with us. That can be our response in any type of circumstances, in hills and valleys alike, when we trust the God who is always with us. In the Name above all othe names. Amen.
