I don't know if this will help a stroke. But I know that integrative medicine can help a person who is recovering from a heart attack. The same principles might apply. So check out the information I am going to give you, and then contact these people. Ask them if they can do anything to help with stroke recovery. It doesn't hurt to ask. Okay, here is the information--There is a video on Youtube called Healing a Heart Using a Holistic Approach posted by Allina Health. Watch it. They will tell you how to recover from the effects of a heart attack using functional and integrative medicine. The woman in the video had a heart attack and went to MDs who practice integrative medicine for help. Traditional Western medicine helped her survive the heart attack, but after that, she was not recovering as well she hoped. Functional and integrative medicine made the difference for her. There are also things like Ayurveda, traditional Chinese medicine, and naturopathy.
